Do star ratings matter to me?

I’ve been thinking about this topic for a few days now, and I felt like I wanted to put my thoughts into written words, so here we are. I love rating things. That’s it. I am not obsessed with it, but I genuinely have so much fun coming up with star ratings for books, movies or TV shows. It’s just so enjoyable to think it all through, and quantify an experience. So do star ratings matter to me? The short answer is yes and no, but let’s elaborate on that.

Why I no longer like audiobooks

Before I get into my reasons, I’d just like to say that I do appreciate audiobooks. They are definitely helping so many people who can’t read physical or e-books. As someone with only one functioning eye, I would be the happiest if I still enjoyed listening to them. However, I kind of fell out of love with them over the last year. There are a number of reasons for that, which I’ll discuss in this post.

How I changed as a reader

I’ve been thinking about this topic for quite a while, and I knew I wanted to write a discussion post on it. I’ve always been a bookworm, ever since I knew how to read. I distinctly remember learning how to read during the summer before the first year of elementary school. So books have been a part of my life for a long time, but my habits and the way I approach reading have changed quite a lot.
