Magical Read-a-thon: Orilium – Autumn Equinox tbr

I’m over the moon excited for the next round of Orilium! I was actually sitting on a train from Exeter to London when I saw that G uploaded the announcement video, and even though I was tired, I started getting hyped up! I’ve been waiting for this for ages, as the last one was in April, and now I feel like I’m even more ready for a read-a-thon. You can watch G’s video HERE. Once again, she did an amazing job, and I’m so looking forward to the ambience rooms!

Magical Read-a-thon: Orilium – Spring Equinox tbr

I haven’t had the best one and a half weeks, to say the least, so when I saw G announcing the next round of the Magical Read-a-thon, it filled me with so much joy! I’ve been loving her read-a-thons ever since I participated in the old one back in April 2020. She really outdid herself this time, with all the different calling options (calling is basically like a career), and the bonus bits and pieces. If you would like to know more about the read-a-thon, you can watch the video HERE. It’s going to happen in the entirety of April.

Magical Read-a-thon: Orilium – Gear Up tbr

The only read-a-thon I’m interested in this year is the Magical Read-a-thon, so I was really glad when G announced that there is going to be a mini round in March! I didn’t plan on dedicating an entire blog post for my tbr, but then I got in the mood after reading Caro’s tbr post, so here we are! You can check out the announcement video HERE. It’s going to take place from tomorrow actually, and it’s only a week long. I also wanted to share that I changed my tbr which I wrote in THIS post, because I haven’t been able to get those books from my library, and I don’t want to buy them.

Reading with Koya tbr

This is going to be an unconventional read-a-thon tbr, as this one has already started in September 12, but I just found out about it! It’s still ongoing until December 4, so I have some time left to complete the books I’m planning to read. I have one reread, but the rest are new titles for me. It’s hosted by Emily on Instagram, you can check out the announcement post HERE. You just need to read books that were recommended by Namjoon from BTS, or books he has read.

Nonfiction November 2021 tbr

I was searching for a read-a-thon in November, as I seem to have grown fond of the structure of them, so I wanted to keep making tbrs. Then I found Nonfiction November! It is hosted by Olive on YouTube, you can check out the announcement video HERE. I actually have heard of it in previous years, but I’ve never participated. I became a fan of this genre in 2020, and while I don’t read that many nonfiction books, I am no longer intimidated by them. I especially love memoirs. But enough of the introduction, let’s see which books I’m planning to read!

Magical Read-a-thon: Orilium – My character and tbr

Even though The Novice Path has already ended two weeks ago, I just had the time to finish my character’s background story, which I started in the middle of September. I had a great time writing, and it is quite long! I just felt inspired and didn’t want to limit myself, haha. The story itself is a bit dark, which is not that surprising, as I somehow always gravitate towards tragic stories. In this post, I also share the tbr for my character, and thankfully, there’s no need to rush, as the next read-a-thon won’t start until April, so there’s plenty of time to read the required books. In case you haven’t heard about this read-a-thon, check out my post, Magical Read-a-thon: Orilium – The Novice Path tbr or G’s announcement video HERE!

Hocus Pocus Read-a-thon

One of the reasons why I love autumn is Halloween. No, it’s not celebrated in my country, but that doesn’t stop me from having a good time. I have a tradition of eating candies and all sorts of sweets and watch a scary movie or two. Well, not that creepy, but one that is suitable for scaredy-cats. I even wrote a blog post last year, so if you don’t like super frightening horror movies or TV shows, but still want something to watch, then definitely check out my list. (A little update about the post: I no longer watch Riverdale, as the fifth season started so ridiculously bad… However, I watched the third season of Stranger Things, and it’s still enjoyable.) And because I am fond of read-a-thons, I thought I’d look for a spooky-themed one, and found Hocus Pocus Read-a-thon! You can read more about it HERE, or check out their Twitter!

Magical Read-a-thon: Orilium – The Novice Path tbr

I am beyond excited for this post, and I want to thank Caro for sharing her tbr on her blog because otherwise, this amazing event would have gone unnoticed by me! I participated last April in her older read-a-thon, which was themed around a series that is by a TERF, and obviously, G didn’t want to keep making that, so she came up with a whole new event! So much effort was put into this, and I really appreciate it. It’s super complex, so if you’re interested, HERE is the whole video. As September is also Latinx Heritage Month, I included some books by Latinx authors too! Unfortunately, I don’t have enough time to do the Latinx Book Bingo this year, because I can only manage one read-a-thon, so this was the best compromise.

Reading It Queer tbr

I knew I wanted to participate in a Pride-themed read-a-thon in June, but the one I did last year (Pride-a-thon) isn’t going to be held this year, so I was afraid that there will be no month-long read-a-thons. Thankfully, a friend of mine showed me this one, Reading It Queer, which looks awesome! I prefer month-long read-a-thons, as that way I have enough time to finish my books. Reading It Queer is organised by Eloise Reads on Instagram, you can find the announcement post HERE!

May read-a-thon tbrs

I don’t know about you, but I’m loving participating in read-a-thons lately! Sometimes they’re not for me, but nowadays I like having set tbrs for the month, it just helps me with my reading. In May, I’m going to partake in not one, but two read-a-thons! One is my absolute favourite, Asian read-a-thon by Cindy, and the other one is Armydathon, which is created by Kat. You check out both of the announcement videos HERE and HERE! So here are my tbrs for both! I’m hoping to finish all of the books because I’m feeling ambitious! Fingers crossed I can actually manage that. What also shows that I’m not kidding around this time, is the fact that I didn’t combine any of the challenges.
