I’ve been wanting to write this post for ages because I wanted to finish How to Do Nothing by Jenny Odell so that I could talk about it as well. Unfortunately, I didn’t end up liking it, so it’s not going to be featured here. Therefore, I decided not to wait any longer, and just write this piece. Today I’m going to recommend eight books that are either about the Internet or social media. There are books on this list which focus less on these topics and more on psychology or neurobiology, but overall, you couldn’t go wrong with any of these choices, if you wished to learn a lot.

Rating k-dramas and their soundtracks (part four)
It’s been a while since I last wrote a blog post like this because I haven’t seen a lot of k-dramas in the past couple of months. But recently, I got back into watching them, and there are five I wanted to share. As per usual, they are all available on Netflix.
Continue reading →My top five Midnights songs as books
It’s October 22, one day after Taylor Swift’s tenth album, Midnights came out. I was anticipating this album so much, it’s not even funny. I started listening to it before going to work, and then after arriving home. At first, I was a tad disappointed: I was hoping for a folklore/evermore kind of album, but this is more pop than alternative. A lot of the songs reminded me of 1989, reputation and Lover sound-wise. After realising that this is unlike the 2020 albums, I was able to detach myself from that expectation, and enjoy the new album. Even though it won’t top folklore and evermore from my favourite Taylor Swift albums, it is definitely a really good one, maybe even worth the third spot. Because I’m still doing my 31-day digital declutter challenge, I haven’t checked anything about Midnights, I only listened to the songs. I usually like to check Genius for explanations on lyrics and themes, but this time, it has to wait. It allowed me to just theorise and fantasise with my own mind, instead of getting a straight answer. I knew I wanted to do a recommendation post, like with folklore and evermore, so I was thinking of books in the back of my mind when I listened to the album. It was such a cool experience, I hope you’ll enjoy this post. The songs are in order of appearance.

If you’ve been reading my last few monthly wrap-ups, you might have noticed that I’ve been obsessed with Twilight’s soundtrack. I think it is exceptionally good, I usually don’t have a strong connection to movie scores, but this one is just so perfect. So, while listening to its songs, I wanted to get creative and do a songs as books kind of post. These matches are more based on emotions and feelings associated with the scenes in which the songs took place, so they are really random.
Continue reading →Rating k-dramas and their soundtracks (part three)
K-dramas have been with me ever since I discovered them last February, and they continue to bring me so much joy. If you haven’t seen them, I’ve already shared some k-dramas HERE and HERE. I hope you’ll be able to find new ones in this blog post! I’m absolutely fond of sharing them because I know that so many people also find solace in them! All of them are available on Netflix.

I am super excited for today’s post, as I had it written for weeks now! I remembered one day in October that my BTS anniversary was in November, and I wanted to come up with a special post for it. I chose November 13, as that was when I made my BTS Spotify playlist, haha. I knew I wanted to do a recommendation post, but I didn’t exactly know what kind, then I remembered that I haven’t made a queer post in a while. So now, I am going to recommend books with LGBTQ+ characters based on your BTS bias! I hope you enjoy it, I certainly had fun writing!
Continue reading →Movie recommendations for autumntime
We’ve come a full circle! I’ve done a winter, a spring, and a summer recommendation post, and now it’s finally time for autumn! I loved coming up with these, as I am someone who loves pairing movies or TV shows with seasons. As per usual, instead of writing long sentences about each movie, you’ll get a few keywords. Let’s get into the world of films, shall we?
Continue reading →Recommending books based on zodiac signs
I don’t know about you, but I’m quite interested in zodiac signs. I find that they hit the nail on the head a lot of times, hence I really enjoy watching zodiac sign compilation videos or memes. I’m not saying they are always right, obviously, but they are fun to think about. I’m not that knowledgeable on the topic, so please take this post with a grain of salt! Some signs were easy to pair a book with, but for some, I had a hard time picking something. I had a great time coming up with them, so I hope you’ll also enjoy it!

It’s time for another round of k-drama recommendations! If you haven’t seen part one, you can check it out HERE. I hope everyone will find something new to watch and listen to! All of them is available on Netflix.
Continue reading →Recommending Agatha Christe books based on keywords
Agatha Christie was born on this day in 1890. In honour of this anniversary, I wanted to write something, so I thought I’d do something I’ve never done: recommending two books based on a particular vibe or keyword. I hope you’ll enjoy it! In case you didn’t know, I’m a huge Agatha Christie fan, I started reading her novels when I was thirteen years old, and I love her ever since. I haven’t reread her books in a while, as recently I prefer contemporary authors, but I will for sure continue my challenge.
