Another month is coming to an end, which means that it’s time for M&M’s pick my tbr! I started this challenge in October, and so far it’s been really fun. I’m always looking forward to seeing what these candies have in store for me. Let’s jump into today’s post!

M&M’s pick my tbr for November // nonfiction, romance & award-winning books

I really enjoyed putting up my tbr for October, so I thought I’d like to continue with this little fun game to pick four books I will read in November, too. In case you don’t know what I’m talking about, HERE you can read all the plus information about it. I was looking forward to the end of the month to play this game, and not just because I could eat M&M’s then… Absolutely not, I’m even offended that this thought came up in your mind! 😂 Jokes aside, I was truly looking forward to picking my next books. So, let’s see what the M&M’s chose for me! Also, I decided to make a uniform header for this tbr game, and I really like how it turned out!

M&M’s pick my tbr for October // mysteries and spooky books

So, if you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I rarely do tbrs, just for occasional read-a-thons. I used to set myself a monthly tbr back when I had my old Hungarian blog, but I realised that it wasn’t for me. However, when I stumbled upon THIS video, I was instantly hooked by the idea. Dani @ Current Chapter booktube page created this absolutely amazing tbr challenge a few years ago, and she does it basically every month. I mean, combining sweets and books is my dream, so I was like heck yeah, let’s try this. So, even though I’m not much of a tbr person, I’ve decided to just go for it, and see if I like it. I will choose four books because that sounds reasonable to me. Since it’s going to be October, I wanted to pick spookier reads because I won’t participate in any Halloween-themed read-a-thons this year.

Magical Read-a-thon: Orilium – Autumn Equinox tbr

I’m over the moon excited for the next round of Orilium! I was actually sitting on a train from Exeter to London when I saw that G uploaded the announcement video, and even though I was tired, I started getting hyped up! I’ve been waiting for this for ages, as the last one was in April, and now I feel like I’m even more ready for a read-a-thon. You can watch G’s video HERE. Once again, she did an amazing job, and I’m so looking forward to the ambience rooms!

How many books have I read from my read-a-thon tbrs?

I read Caro’s post about how many of her anticipated 2021 releases she read, and then I thought it would be really interesting to check out how many I’ve read from all the read-a-thons I participated in. There are thirteen tbrs on this blog, and I’m now going to go through all of them! I enjoy putting together tbrs for read-a-thons, and I want to see if I actually follow through my plans. Three things before I start: 1) I’m not counting rereads because those were obviously already read by the time I made that tbr, 2) some books are on multiple tbrs, so I’m only mentioning them in the first tbr they appeared in, 3) they don’t have to be read in that month the read-a-thon took place, I just want to know if I read them up until this point, or not. Without further ado, let’s jump into this post!

Tomes on my tbr

Two posts in a row! This has never happened before on this blog, but I guess this day is just as good as any to try something new. I read Caro‘s most recent post this morning, and I felt so inspired that I immediately started writing my own. She shared the longest books on her tbr, and now I’m here to do the same, because it seems fun! All of these tomes are over 500 pages, and look as intimidating as a high mountain. So let’s grab our mountain climbing gears, and conquer these beasts!

Magical Read-a-thon: Orilium – Spring Equinox tbr

I haven’t had the best one and a half weeks, to say the least, so when I saw G announcing the next round of the Magical Read-a-thon, it filled me with so much joy! I’ve been loving her read-a-thons ever since I participated in the old one back in April 2020. She really outdid herself this time, with all the different calling options (calling is basically like a career), and the bonus bits and pieces. If you would like to know more about the read-a-thon, you can watch the video HERE. It’s going to happen in the entirety of April.

Magical Read-a-thon: Orilium – Gear Up tbr

The only read-a-thon I’m interested in this year is the Magical Read-a-thon, so I was really glad when G announced that there is going to be a mini round in March! I didn’t plan on dedicating an entire blog post for my tbr, but then I got in the mood after reading Caro’s tbr post, so here we are! You can check out the announcement video HERE. It’s going to take place from tomorrow actually, and it’s only a week long. I also wanted to share that I changed my tbr which I wrote in THIS post, because I haven’t been able to get those books from my library, and I don’t want to buy them.

Some of the nonfiction books I’m excited about

Hello friends! Today I thought I’d share some of the many nonfiction books that are on my tbr list. There was a time when I didn’t really read from this genre, but my appreciation for them came back, stronger than ever! My favourite types are memoirs, I am fond of reading other people’s experiences. I also love to learn about different cultures and the topic of psychology.

Getting serious with series in 2022

I like series, don’t get me wrong, but keeping up with them has never been my forte. I DNF’d a lot before because I used to read a lot of fantasy series that I’m not interested in anymore. In general, I can say that I prefer stand-alones, though it’s great sometimes to come back to beloved characters. I decided to show you all the series I have to finish and ones I want to start, hopefully motivating myself to actually read them in 2022.
